Teacher Boaz’s approach, both in and out of the classroom, focuses on teaching core concepts through multiple learning pathways to reach all students effectively. He uses movement, humour, music, technology, project-based learning, cooperative groups, art, theatre, and strong personal connections with learners to make science engaging, meaningful, and relevant to students’ lives.
His curriculum, laboratory work, assignments, activities, and evaluations are carefully hand-tailored, blending creativity with scientific rigour. By designing his own curriculum and learning activities, Teacher Boaz is able to align them with state standards, incorporate multiple levels of cognition, revise content annually, and keep lessons current with emerging scientific developments.
During Teacher Boaz’s sessions in school, students began achieving at unprecedented levels in science. Not only did they score among the state’s top performers on traditional academic measures, but they also demonstrated deeper understanding through hands-on learning — and developed a genuine love for science.
Teacher Boaz earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nairobi. He later expanded his career by becoming a full-time educational consultant, teaching fellow educators, parents, and business professionals around the world about high-quality teaching and learning.
His innovative and humorous approach has been widely acclaimed for helping learners of all ages understand and apply complex concepts in education and science. Today, he dedicates much of his time to creative curriculum development, writing, and supporting teachers in improving classroom practice. He is well known across Kenya for his engaging keynote addresses and workshops for educators, parents, and students.
Outside the classroom, Teacher Boaz pursues a balanced, creative, and inquisitive life. He is an accomplished mathematician, a mentor, a climber, and a passionate lover of wild places.
